NATIONAL WOMEN'S HEALTH HOT LINE EXPANDS TO INCLUDE NATURAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY INFORMATION.

A 24-hour toll-free women's health hot line has been expended to offer current and comprehensive information on natural hormone replacement therapy (NHRT). The hot line is a service of the Women's Health America Group, Inc. based in Madison, Wisconsin and is also a source for information on menopause, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and other women's health concerns.

"We receive about 3,000 calls a each month from women and health professionals who are seeking information on a variety of women's health topics," stated Marla
Ahlgrimm, registered pharmacist (R.Ph.) and founder of the Women's Health America Group. "We have found that women are eager to find a source for accurate, up-to-date health information. And based on our calls, its obvious the baby boomers are moving into menopause," she added. "They particularly want to know more about natural hormone replacement therapy; that's why we now address it as a separate topic on our hot line." Natural hormones are prescribed for other conditions including infertility, prevention of miscarriage, PMS, postpartum depression, migraine headaches, osteoporosis, hypothyroidism, increasing libido and a sense of well being.

The expanded hot line offers callers the choice of listening to informational messages on NHRT and other health topics. In addition, comprehensive information packets on natural hormone replacement therapy, menopause and PMS are also available to callers. "Our goal is to help women become informed health consumers and partners in their own health care," stated Ahlgrimm.
