Prostate Cancer and Progesterone

Progesterone is a precursor to testosterone and the corticosteriods, which means that the body uses progesterone to make these hormones. Progesterone levels in men are lower than in women. Men typically continue to produce normal testosterone and corticosteriods into there 70s and 80s.

The testicles in the male are equivalent to the ovaries in the female and the prostate is the male equivalent of the female uterus; they originate from the same cells in the embryo. So, we see the same hormonal effects in both the prostate and the uterus. There is a large amount of evidence that exposure to xenohormones (petrochemical environmental components) may play a significant role in recent declines in male sperm count, testicular cancer, and prostate cancer. Application of small amounts of natural progesterone cream for the reduction of enlarged prostates and reversal of prostate cancers, have shown preliminary evidence in anecdotal reports that progesterone may also play an important role in protecting the prostate gland in men.

A loss of testosterone in men may lead to osteoporosis. This may be prevented or treated with natural progesterone. Progesterone has no feminizing effects and will accomplish the same bone-building benefits as testosterone.

The use of natural progesterone cream is a safe and sensible supplementation, which when used in the proper dosages, may well prevent or even reverse prostate cancer.
